Barrel plating is a dynamic plating method. Parts to be plated are placed inside polypropylene barrels that contain bars that conduct electrical currents. The barrel is filled with the electroplating solution and is slowly rotated causing the parts inside to tumble (cascade). This method provides an even finish for excellent results.
As this method is less labour intensive than rack plating, it provides a cost-effective option for many plating requirements. It is suitable for durable parts that can withstand the cascading effect of the barrel rotation. If you need delicate parts plated, then speak to us about our rack line plating services.
We have two fully automatic barrel zinc lines that are capable of plating both small and large quantities. Our plant is in operation 24 hours a day, therefore, we can offer the fastest turnarounds in the West Midlands that meet both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
